Seminar/exhibition events organisations

What are the spaces:
Office space for this organisation
Public parliamentary seating within chambers
Viewing deck - spaces that encourage sociability

Where are the spaces located: as seen above – Site Location
It’s located above parliament house to go with the idea of “people over government”. From griffin’s original plan for Capital Hill to be kept as green space and as a meeting place. It’s also directly connected with the function of parliamentary debate, which was our main focus that we wanted to improve in the first project.

When will the spaces be used:
Normal office hours during the day.
For seminars and exhibition events – hours during the night/weekend

Why:
To close the gap between the people and the parliament at a national level.
To insert a public presence within the chambers.
To provide a forum for parliamentary debate and discussion that encourages Australian citizens involvement.

How:
Through form, spatial relationships, and structure.
